Had a wonderful few hours here yesterday, everywhere still plenty of colour despite the drought. Such a gorgeous garden with lots of different areas to explore. Haven't been for a couple of years & can see the difference in the arboretum, which we got lost in lol! So many insects flitting about. Even saw 2 large deer 🦌

So much more than I was expecting! What a lovely place, everything labelled too. Amazing way to spend some time. Fabulous that the owners have had the forethought to plant a new arboretum for future generations. Would love to visit again in the autumn

What an absolutely stunning place! We were very privileged to be able to visit. It was glorious weather but quiet and we were able to wonder the gardens and grounds as if they were our own (and I wish they were!). An absolute MUST visit for anyone. Congratulations to all the gardens and to the owner for having that vision.

Beautiful gardens. Plenty of places to pause and reflect with some 'hidden' gems in the shade too.
Lovely tea tent....recommend the courgette, lime and coconut cake!

A lovely garden to wander around, nice and quiet with plenty to look at, and plenty of places to rest.

Sensational modern garden!! Various areas along a downhill estate, with wide views across the countryside: A wildflower meadow, a "newly interpreted" walled garden (created 2001) with herbaceous plants and formal elements and glasshouses, a pond with view on a formally planted terrace, a rose garden, informal woodland-like part and a bog garden - this list hardly describes the incredible achievements to create and maintain a horticultural paradise. It took us almost 2 hours to explore and appreciate it. I'm grateful we had the opportunity, as it is a private garden and not a commercial enterprise.

This is a garden of multiple parts, united by stunning views and vistas. The Tom Stuart Smith walled garden was an explosion of colour and texture. But calmer areas exist through various avenues of beech.
There is a wonderful new arboretum which has mown pathways running through it. It’s a beautiful walk down to the river and I was surprised no one else was walking outside the gated perimeter as it’s lovely.
There is a tiny cafe serving delicious cakes.
Clean toilets and a nursery selling unusual perennials.

We visited Broughton Grange on a very hot day scuttling from shade to shade but really enjoyed our time there. The prairie planting, koi pool and greenhouse were beautiful. The arboretum is fairly recently planted so we just enjoyed looking at it from a viewing point rather than getting baked in the sun but will be interested to return in a few years to see how it has grown and developed.
We found that the gardens were interesting and varied with some wilder areas to contrast with the more formal parts, as well as some fun and surprising sculptures. It was also a very calm and peaceful place to stroll around.
