The number of awards that this company wins at exhibitions across the country is amazing, but well deserved if you have seen the quality of plants staged at shows. They have been so generous with their advice and support for many charitable organisations and projects around Harrow. Happy to promote and support, and always the supplier of choice whenever I am working on a project.

Very versatile bulb nursery, with a wide range of bulbs to suit every need. Ample parking. A very old established nursery in the London area. Very competitive prices. Might look like an aircraft hangar, but venture inside and be amazed. Seasonal bedding plants are available. Jaques Amand are multi award winning bulb specialists, and in the autumn and spring the warehouse is alive with all sorts of different spring and summer bulbs. Be amazed at the quality and reasonable prices. Do not be put of by the shoddy appearance, the place is a working nursery not a garden centre.
You may also see them at various prestigious plant shows around the country, Chelsea, Hampton court, Wisley, Hyde hall and Ardinley to name but a few.

My experience is similar. I bought a range of bulbs which have done fine, despite being sent several months later than originally told (end of January) but the most expensive, Tacca integrifolia, looked poor on arrival and has failed to even sprout despite optimum growing conditions over several months. Emailed them and offered to return the bulb for a replacement but the email was ignored, as was a follow up email a week later and, a week further on, still no response. It's OK to have a great range of plants but when things fail you also need a great response, especially in these modern times where it takes seconds (not days and weeks like the old postal service) to get back to someone. People tend to dwell on what goes wrong not what goes right, so prompt customer care is essential nowadays.

Edit note: I have upgraded the rating as I have now been reimbursed for the failed bulb. The other bulbs I ordered have grown so the original rating was due to the need to chase responses from customer care. Thank you to Jo at the company for sorting this out.

This is a brilliant supplier of bulbs tubers and rhizomatus plants both common and rare. The catalogue is vast and you will find many plants you have never seen before unless a really experienced Gardener..
Quality can be confirmed by my forgetfulness last September after purchasing Anemone nemorosa 3 different varieties and forgot to plant them. Clearing garage I found them and was about to throw away when i thought let's just check. All three were still in excellent condition and have just started to spring into growth.
