We stayed in a cottage on the estate ( there are 3 of them). So peaceful and so much wildlife from my cottage window deer walk past pheasants and if you look Red Squirrels. The gardens are stunning . Go to Port logan estates on airbnb and view the cottages.

What a wonderful garden - we visited Bank holiday Monday and had the place to ourselves. Lovely shaded woodland paths great displays of rhododendron and azaleas etc. and we could take the dog. Although there is a separate entrance we walked from the botanical gardens which are just 200m away

Lovely well kept grounds, peaceful mid week walk around the gardens for a couple of hours, with our dog, who must be kept on the lead.. Huge trees and shrubs you can actually walk through... Plenty of grass for a picnic or rest... Drive up to house was a adventure as we saw wild red deer with young ones...Donation box in carpark, where you can pick up a laminated garden guide... Toilets are located next to the house... Well worth a visit if you're passing...

We spent a lovely few hours walking around the lovely gardens.. they were well maintained and were a pleasure to look at.. the cafe was lovely you could sit outside or in..the staff were very pleasant and helpful..food was well presented and very tasty ..would recommend anybody to visit.

Great place to visit if you want a quiet stroll around a beautiful woodland garden. The rhododendrons were stunning as were the many huge trees. It’s dog friendly and there was no one else there at the time so it was lovely and quiet too.

Like others have said, it could do with a few more seats around and the single toilet was ok but for the price it was perfectly adequate.

Being next door to the botanical garden is a bonus too as you can access this via the drive out of Logan House (separate entrance fee applies and botanical garden isn’t dog friendly 🙁)

Agree with other other reviews , this is a lovely place. Dog friendly, honesty box for payment.

Lovely few hours spent wandering around the gardens with our dog. Loved looking at all the magnificent plants and huge trees. Very peaceful with hardly any other visitors. Not the same facilities as other larger, well known gardens but still beautiful gardens. Will definitely return if in the area.
